Job Description:

Support a large U.S. Government Department by analyzing and consulting on mission-critical Cloud initiatives, providing our customer visibility into their Cloud financial operations. As a Cloud FinOps Financial Analyst Expert you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Your analysis will allow the Department to make more informed decisions and better track Cloud spending.

HOW A CLOUD FINOPS ANALYST EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Performs financial analysis and reporting in order to monitor finances associated with business operations.

  • Work with Cloud Service Providers, U.S. Government personnel and GDIT experts to accomplish the mission.

  • As a key member of the Program team, you will work with Program leadership to resolve any challenges.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

  • Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience.

  • Certifications: Possess a current FinOps certification, or ability to attain within 12 months.

  • Required Technical Skills:- 2+ years of relevant experience in Cloud FinOps/Cloud Spend optimization.- Demonstrated knowledge of public cloud players (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google), their product portfolio and commercial models. - Demonstrated ability to properly structure, model and visualize cloud platform data to support decision making.

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Finance experience, communication skills, analysis. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Security clearance level:

  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting.

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
