GDIT is part of the Joint Venture HealthAPT with NewWave to work on the DESY (Data Extraction System) program. The contract is with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
This position is a hands-on engineering position for a complex Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based application. The environment architecture consists of COTS (e.g. Oracle Fusion middleware products, Oracle WebCenter, Oracle Collaboration, WebLogic etc.) and custom developed in-house products.
The job entails working with NewWAve staff to develop a new and enhanced (redesign) of the DESY system. The job responsibilities include analysis of services, architecting to use services, configuration and environmental settings and performance tuning. This position provides hands on help and guidance in architecting solutions and services, training, solving problems, and coordinating with application developers, service developers, infrastructure operators, program management and client management.
Provide technical leadership for new and enhanced application improving the customer experience and services.
Ensure adequate/accurate documentation and implementation of redesigned application and services.
Develop a trusted adviser relationship with NewWave developers and technical staff, Infrastructure contractor staff, PMO contractor staff and CMS clients
Work with development and architecture groups to document and assist with the installation and configuration of enhanced application.
Work with the Enterprise team architects. engineers and other key managers to architect changes for future systems enhancements, new
functions, and improved performance and maintainability
When necessary, provide responsive support to Production issues and incidents; support all testing and development integration needs for services
Ensure that deliverables are of high quality through conduct of peer reviews.
Support the preparation and delivery of status presentations and reports
Attend and contribute to internal and client facing meetings.
Position expected deliverable includes a comprehensive analysis of Portal systems, improved documentation, performance tuning and comprehensive list of any recommended remediations to the Portal framework and applications.
Programming skills using Java, EJB, JPA, Webservices (SOAP, WSDL, JAX-WS), ADF, GUI Frameworks
Application Architecture and Design skills using UML, Design Patterns, Wireframes, Prototypes, Visio and PowerPoint presentations
Application development, deployment and performance tuning skills with Java Application Server preferably Weblogic Application Server
Portal design and development skills using JSR 286, WSRP and Oracle Webcenter products (Webcenter Portal, Content and Sites)
Experience serving the Federal Government
Knowledge of CMS Technical Reference Architecture and XLC documentations
Knowledge of Business Intelligence products such as OBIEE and Cognos
Knowledge of BPM products such as Oracle SOA/BPM Suite, OSB
Knowledge of Security Architecture and products such as OIM, OAM, OVD
Knowledge of Database Architecture and Oracle Database
Experience in the health care sector; most desired are health care quality measure reporting systems
Execution of and analysis of complex mainframe batch job execution
Ability to understand and analyze complex data and it's use in testing
Strong customer focus
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with senior management as well as peers
Strong communication and leadership skills
