General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Senior WebCenter Specialist/Java Developer to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Corporate Information Systems to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Support Services of their Corporate Business Systems (CBSOM).
In this role, a typical day will include:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining system environments, including addressing Cyber Security issues
Assessing DOE application modules and source data for various lines of business and architecting solutions using Java, SQL, scripting, and Oracle technologies
Collaborating effectively with customers, users, lines of business, and internal teams to propose new portal/document-sharing requirements
Designing, developing, and maintaining custom tools and applications to support document management, OA/BI reporting, LDAP, and ETL processes
Working as a member of the team to support business operations for WebCenter/Middleware applications
Collaborating with a variety of other technical professionals (e.g. DBAs, other DOE application teams, network engineers, Oracle technicians) to investigate and resolve system issues
Designing, developing, integrating, and customizing Oracle WebCenter products utilizing front-end technologies (e.g. ADF, HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python)
Developing test harnesses/test plans/scenarios
Hosting work group meetings, performing requirements analysis, and developing functional and technical design documents
Participating in and conducting peer reviews of requirements, design, and code
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant discipline with 7 years of relevant experience in Extract Transform and Load (ETL) and Oracle Analytics. Without a degree 8-10 years of relevant experience is required.
Extensive experience using Oracle Database and these Oracle frameworks: WebCenter Content (or similar), WebCenter Portal (or similar), JDeveloper IDE, Oracle Internet Directory
Extensive experience in cross-functional, full-lifecycle development, including modeling and prototyping in an MVC architecture, interface and workflow design, logging, and error-handling
Extensive experience working and troubleshooting in live, clustered environments
Experience with JDBC, PL/SQL, ADF, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, shell scripting, backend programming technologies, OAS/OBIEE
Experience identifying and analyzing business needs for existing applications and serving as an expert guiding through innovative solutions
Experience in development, consumption, and debugging of SOAP and REST WebServices
Experience driving continuous improvement of business processes and technical operations
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to business leaders, managers, peers, and customers
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

Experience with ServiceNow for incident management, problem management, and service request management
Experience with document management design (database and client-side)
Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware, including WebLogic Console, Enterprise Manager, and command-line Scripting Tool (WLST)
Experience with Portlet development, especially in WebCenter framework

The likely salary range for this position is $106,371 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
