DevOps Automation Engineer (CI/CD tools)

Our work depends on a DevOps Automation Engineer (CI/CD tools) joining our team to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program in Falls Church, VA.

This is an IT Service Management contract in support of GENM-O’s mission to enable information dominance from the tactical edge to the home station for the Army, DoD, National Command Authority, and international partners by acquiring, implementing, and sustaining strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems, and by leveraging technologies to meet current and future requirements. AGUN is to design, procure, maintain, deploy, and transition a Global SDN solution in accordance with applicable Army policies and regulations. The AGUN-INC1 TO will provide a unified approach to ensure standardized deployments and configurations at multiple locations throughout the globe.

To be successful in this position you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with the client and senior staff. Therefore, you should be articulate in your communications because your opinion matters. You will need to explain technical intricacies in a way that is easily understood.

DevOps Automation Engineer (CI/CD tools) : Identifies opportunities for automation in SD-WAN provisioning, configuration management, traffic engineering, and performance optimization. Develops implementation plans for integrating SD-WAN automation into existing DevOps workflows and toolchains. Designs and implements CI/CD pipelines tailored to SD-WAN environments to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for SD-WAN configurations and policies. Configures and manages SD-WAN controllers, orchestrators, and edge devices within CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent and reliable SD-WAN deployments. Implements version control and automated testing mechanisms for SD-WAN configurations and changes. Ensures compliance, security, and consistency of SD-WAN deployments through automated configuration management and validation. Is familiar with Ansible and/or Terraform.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree, 5+ years experience

  • Appropriately certified for their designated role in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, DFARS 252.239-7001, AR 25-2, or any successor policies or regulations; Possesses a DoD 8570.01 approved baseline certification or higher.

  • It is anticipated that some personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Long-distance travel is anticipated to be required in support of this effort.

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $154,211. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
