Job Description:
GDIT is seeking an Army Business Development Director to focus on pursuing opportunities and growing business with its Army sector. This Director will lead business development concentrated on the Army INSCOM and Army G2, as well as support business development for PEO-IEW&S and the Intelligence functions within TRADOC, such as the US Army Intelligence Center of Excellence, and the Cyber Center of Excellence. The Director may also focus on pursuits within other customer accounts, such as the Army National Guard or Reserve, PEO-Aviation, etc.
The position will support our Defense Division and can be fully remote with occasional travel to our headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. Everyday GDIT makes a difference in how the government serves our country and our citizens.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Manage all aspects of account growth, new business development and customer relationship management across all levels within assigned accounts.
Meet with customers to understand the customer territory—relative to portfolio of deals
Develop a pipeline of new opportunities for assigned Sector or market segment
Lead identification and qualification of new business opportunities that support the account plan, Sector growth goals, and submit targets, throughout the opportunity life cycle.
Lead early development of win strategy during the Assessment Phase, prior to assignment of a Capture Manager
Lead identification, qualification, and capture on select OTAs with assistance from the Defense CTO/SA.
Execute call plans to collect information about particular opportunities; in collaboration with technical staff, proffers and tests potential solutions; qualifies opportunities; document customer meetings in Salesforce.
Meet with OEM vendors, other GD business units, and potential industry partners to collect information about opportunities and customers
Develop customer relationships, improve customer intimacy
Identifies competitors, assess strategic fit, assess OCI
Prepare for and brief opportunities at formal gate reviews.
Develop and brief Pursuit Reviews
Provide insight from customer point of view throughout opportunity life cycle.
Required Qualifications:
BS degree
Active TS/SCI clearance to start
10+ years of Sales/BD/Capture/Proposal/ and/or operational experience within the DoD/Army environment; preferably the Intelligence Community, INSCOM, Army G2 Staff, PEO-IEW&S, or ARCYBER
Experience w\ Strategic Planning
Desired Qualifications:
MS Degree
Expertise in at least one additional Army market where intelligence support is applied (example – Army Aviation and Missile Command)
Experience with CRM tools (e.g. SalesForce), SharePoint, and all MS Office applications
Deep knowledge in at least one technical discipline, ie Cloud Services, Software Development, Networks
