General Dynamics Information Technology Senior Training Specialist – Telework in Falls Church, Virginia
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking highly motivated technical professionals who are eager to play a major role in IT transformation at Government agencies in the aviation and other transportation fields.
This is a telework position. Onsite support will be required as requested by customer.
The Senior Training Specialist leads the coordination, development and delivery of computer-related training to the end user community.
The Senior Training Specialist performs as follows:
Leads, develops, organizes and conducts training and educational programs
Leads and supports the development, delivery, and/or coordination of training courses and materials that address specific customer needs
Develops, tests, maintains, and delivers moderately complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives
Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities
Serves as trainer for classes and develops training (job) aids on demand
Provides one-on-one mentoring sessions online or over the phone as well as develops videos on demand
Serves as a training developer/designer and designs/develops courses and training syllabuses
Builds training from an instructional system design model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE))
Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness
Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance
Conducts research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
Participates in special projects as required
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline.
1) 8 - 10 years of directly related experience in IT Training
2) 5+ years training leadership experience
3) HDI Certification required
4) Possesses thorough knowledge of appropriate hardware and software
5) Understands computer functions and related technical terminology and how they are applied in everyday business situations
6) Possesses exceptional interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills
