Job Description

• Special Skills/Qualifications Required: Graduate of a U.S. Military Officers Education System course above entry level training: Captain Career Course, Intermediate Level Education, Basic Warrant Officer Course, Warrant Officer Advance Course, or equivalent. Or graduate from one of the following U.S. military Noncommissioned Officer Education System course: Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, First Sergeant Course or Sergeants Major Course. Has ability to formulate and integrate exercise scenarios into the SOMTC training environment or exercise.

• Minimal Background/Experience Required: Assignment to Special Operations Forces (Special Forces, Military Information Support Operations, Civil Affairs, Ranger Regiment, Special Operations Aviation, Special Mission units), or assignment to one of the following: Military Intelligence, Logistics Corps, Field Artillery. (Equivalent assignments within other Department of Defense military branches apply).

• Additional Desired Qualifications/Experience: One year of experience researching, planning, preparing, coordinating, and executing Mission Rehearsal and Command Post Exercises (MRX/CPX).

• Security Clearance: Top Secret clearance.


Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience. Two years of related military experience may substitute for academic degree. Or two years of experience researching, planning, preparing, coordinating, and executing Mission Rehearsal and Command Post Exercises (MRX/CPX) may substitute for academic degree.


5-8 years of directly related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs.
