Job Description:

GDIT has an opportunity for a Field Service Technician supporting Joint Battle Command - Platform (JBC-P) at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Must have a current and active Secret Clearance. Must have e xperience with Blue Force Tracking (BFT) and Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initialize, place into operation, and troubleshoot software interfaces of JBC-P FoS.

  • Assist new users with managing system requirements to include data management, data recovery, and techniques to operate/maintain records

  • Provide over the shoulder technical assistance and/or training to users and maintainers.

  • Provide troubleshooting assistance with software installation, software updates, and software fixes.

  • Apply IAVA software patches and service pack updates.

  • Assist with fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot Joint Battle Command Platforms (JBC-P) to include Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), Joint Capabilities Release Logistics (JCR LOG), Blue Force Tracker (6.5, BFT1, BFT2), hardware and software communications systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AA/AS and 3 years’ experience. Two (2) years of additional work experience may be substituted for an A.A./A.S. Degree.

  • Experience with Blue Force Tracking (BFT) and Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Must have a current and active Secret Clearance.

  • Must have valid US Passport and ability to pass CRC medical requirements to deploy.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Military experience – Target Army MOS: 25U.

The likely salary range for this position is $59,500 - $80,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
