Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders

  • Management oversight of requirements gathering, solution design and implementation of solutions supporting different data classification levels.

  • Coordination and overall completion of projects assigned.

  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities to matrixed project staff, and monitor and summarize progress of project.

  • Build and maintain working relationships with customer, team members, and other departments involved in the projects.

  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of projects.

  • Lead development and non-development teams in current agile maturity and processes toward continuous improvement and quality

  • Own and drive execution of the team delivery and roadmap

  • Ensure quality standards and project deliverables

  • Interface with all stakeholders

  • Serve as a team lead to other Project Managers.

To qualify, you must meet these basic qualifications:

  • Possess a PMP certification

  • A broad knowledge of a training environment and/or IT related projects.

  • 8-10 years of experience implementing IT related project

  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and problems.

  • Exceptional communication skills, successfully using multiple verbal and non-verbal behaviors to deliver a compelling message

  • Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively with individuals and groups

  • Ability to defend ideas/point of views to clients, team members and government leaders

  • Aptitude to thrive in a team atmosphere, while defining issues/hypotheses, performing complex analysis, and assisting with preparation and recommendations of solution alternatives

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, meet deadlines and focus despite conflicting demands

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar

  • 8-10 years related experience

  • Certified Scrum Master, Scrum Alliance

Mandatory Requirements:

  • PMP certification

  • Three years of experience using MS Project or equivalent

  • Three years of experience leading teams using Agile methodologies
