Job Description:

United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) requires embedded Cyber Security Engineer Associate (CS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) Support for USARPAC G6 Operations. Secret Clearance Required.

Designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. Ensures system security needs established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, certification and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis. Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis of cyber security features and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues. May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.


  • Provide Cyber Security technical review of proposed technology IAW established applicable standards.

  • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense, Department of the Army, and local policy and standards for information processing, information transfer, information modeling, human computer interfaces and information System security, and other future standards.

  • Provide IA defense-in-depth (DID) strategy and related architecture evolution support by reviewing and coordinating changes and improvements to the security architecture.

  • Provide security engineering support to improve current manual processes used to collect, aggregate, analyze, and share intrusion detection, vulnerability, and other anomalous event data locally, regionally, and globally.

  • Ensure that all new technologies are certified, vetted IAW DoD and federal standards and best practices.

  • Provide Cyber Security review of government proposed system engineered solutions.

  • Participate in technical reviews during selection, development, and testing of Cyber Security components.

  • Conduct vulnerability or discovery testing of systems and products. The contractor shall conduct testing of information systems during the development of a new information system or during the enhancement and/or modification of an existing system.

  • Participate in the analysis, testing, and evaluation of products against established standards and criteria.

  • Perform other task as required in support of the USARPAC Cyber Security efforts.

  • TDY maybe required

Communication Skills

The contractor shall have the ability to speak and write, conveying complex ideas, with ease and concisely in support of briefings, writings, or oral presentations.

Contractor shall be able to take visionary goals and objects, with general directions, and develop technical concept plans and then implementation

Certification Required

Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) If possible, other preferred certifications include: MCSE/MCDBA/CCNA/UNIX/LINUX
