In general the Installations Engineer (IE) for this program is part of a field service expert team that provides in-country Taiwan subject matter expertise (SME) support for installation of hardware and software in 120 sites command and control (C2) across Taiwan. Installation may include RF systems, internet and intranet systems supporting the C2 systems across Taiwan, requirement analysis, system maintenance and repair, and provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) for all Syun An SoS C4 capabilities to include, but not limited to the systems listed under Job Description summary.
Responsible for reading site plans, project meetings, job sheets and documentations needed for the preparation of necessary equipment for the installation job at one of the 120 sites in the Syun An Systems of Systems
Responsible for checking and maintaining regular maintenance services in order to make sure that the installation is on schedule
Interface with C2 sites officers and experts on a routine basis
Contact sites as required to inform them on the installation and or repair of C2 systems
Responsible for making those updates according to the progress of the installation as well as the technical support when needed
There are 120 command and control (C2) sites in the Syun An system; the IE should understand the C2 systems that exist in Syun An with respect to the communications and installations across 120 sites
Former military service Navy preferable, but not required
The IE will work or live in Taiwan for extended periods – up to 1 year under a total 5-year contract
Will travel frequently in Taiwan visiting the C2 sites to maintain and repair the various systems associated with Communication installations systems in Taiwan. Pay commensurate with US salaried engineers
4-6 years of experience in installation of C2 systems and RF systems, knowledge of RF communications installations , trouble shooting, & repair is required
Understand the communications associated with Tactical data links, and C2 systems
Must have a DOD Secret clearance to work in Taiwan
