Job Description:

US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages a globally dispersed team of change and configuration professionals.

  • Provides configuration change, and release management support to assigned projects.

  • Analyzes and processes complex engineering change requests (CRs) to determine the impact on the overall system.

  • Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates.

  • Manage configuration management database (CMDB) audits and documents results.

  • Aids in the development of configuration and change management policies based on program requirements.

  • Identifies requirements and coordinates the development and implementation of computer-based configuration/data management systems and related support activities.

  • Provides guidance and training to managers, site leads, engineers, systems and network administrators regarding configuration and change management procedures.

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of ITIL principles, methods, techniques and best practices to configuration management and change management.

  • Oversees the local Definitive Media Library and processes requests to change the authorized product list (APL).

  • Serves as local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Change Management, Configuration and Release Management for supporting external requests, data calls, and Contract Deliverables (CDRL) reporting to the Program Office.

  • Provides guidance and attends and participates in weekly Technical and Configuration Advisory Board (TRB/CAB) meetings.

  • Monitors subcontractors and vendors to ensure that the applications of customer standards and requirements for the statement of work are properly implemented.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Configuration Management / Change Management experience required.

  • 5+ years of industry experience.

  • Must possess a Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

  • BA/BS required.

  • Ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Serving as local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Change Management, Configuration Management, Baseline Configuration and the procurement process for supporting external requests, data calls, and Contract Deliverable (CDRL) reporting to the Program Office.

  • Processing service request and change request tickets using SCSM/ServiceNow or similar ticketing tool.

  • Develop and lead initiatives in Tableau, JIRA, ServiceNow, SCSM and other tools used to manage and control daily work and process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL V4 Foundation or possess equivalent higher certifications.

  • Experience supporting multinational customers preferred.

  • Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.

  • The work is typically performed at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $125,005. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
