Job Description:

GDIT has an exciting opening for a COP Manager to support U.S. Army Europe as a member of our EMITS team in Stuttgart, Germany.

The COP Manager is responsible for providing oversight for the GCCS Family of Systems as well as oversight for the Link Family of Systems. They will also be tasked with the development and refinement of C2 documentation and providing Command and Control support for Exercises or Operations. The COP Manager will coordinate administrative duties such as scheduling and tasking’s, review and monitor daily activities of COP Managers for issue resolution and participate in weekly meetings with Site Manager.

HOW A COP MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Work with the customer to coordinate daily operational requirements.

  • Provide oversight of Tier 2 Command and Control issues.

  • Coordinate with the C2 Solutions Architect to define and develop the EUCOM C2 environment.

  • Knowledge of COP communications and architectures

  • Uses advanced knowledge to develop technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems.

  • Recognized subject matter expert in job area typically through advanced education and work experience.

  • May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

  • May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)

Work Schedule

  • Shift work with potential up to 12 hours per day to include nights and weekends.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Security Clearance Required: Top Secret

  • Education: Bachelors Degree; additional years of experience can be substituted for degree requirement

  • Required Experience: 8 years experience

  • Required Skills: Working knowledge of GCCS Family of Systems GCCS-(A/J/M) or DCGS-(A/N); Working knowledge of Link Family of systems (LMMT, ADSI, JRE); Operational experience with COP functionality and applications; Good problem solving IT skills, test, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent interpersonal communication, writing, and presentation skills

  • Certifications: Candidate must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements at time of hire.

  • Experience in leading a team of Subject Matter Experts

  • Potential to travel up to 10% per year.

  • TESA requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;

  • An associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;

  • A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;

  • 11 years of recent specialized experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with US forces and military operational requirements.

  • Familiar with NATO and Coalition C2 systems

The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
