This Surge Team Systems Administrator position is a full time opportunity for candidates who are looking for achallenging, fast-paced environment. We are looking for experienced Systems Administrators who want to work with the latest technologies as part of a traveling team supportinguniquecustomer needs.
This position requires 80% plus travel to support worldwide missions. Typically travel can range from one week to six months.
Responsibilities includeproviding installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution services.
Provide monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Provides application/Windows OS installation/configuration/patching as well as data reporting (application install status, client health, etc.)
Maintains system documentation, create and maintain workstation images and build new systems using a standard imaging process.
May program in an administrative language.
Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
Provides support and training to end-users.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
AA/AS Degreein Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
This position requires3+ yearsof directlyrelated experience supporting information systems operations.
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support.
Knowledge of related hardware and software.
Knowledge and experience with VMware, Windows Server 2012 configuration and administration.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to make decisions and adapt to change.
Ownership and execution of incident management and system maintenance.
Execute PowerShell scripting.
This position may require deployments to CONUS and OCONUS locations worldwide; and may include hazardous duty areas. Deployments can be of a duration of up to 180 days; this position typically deploys on an as-required basis.
The work is typically performed in an office environment and at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. Some customer environments are in austere environments.
Top Secret/SCI security clearance
DOD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification required.(ie. Security +)
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2012 or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 2016 required.
ITIL v3 Foundations required.
