Job Description:

This individual will have the opportunity to work independently to configure UNIX operating systems; local area networks and VME embedded computer environments.

-Engineering responsibilities, design, development, installation, and

life cycle support for new and emerging technology.

-Utilize Special Technology for Engineering and Integration.

-Ability to use the newest emerging technology currently deploying on

subsurface platforms.

Required:

Top Secret Clearance

-RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 or later System Administrator (either experience or certification)

-Journeyman/Expert in coding languages Java, and C+-CompTia Security+ certified

-Linux certified

-Experience with Python & Kafka/Spark

-Should possess knowledge of Sybase, C, C++, Qt, UNIX and real-time operating systems, MOTIF, X-Windows, UNIX System administration expertise, and the assembly level languages, as well as the hardware architecture, used in cryptologic carry-on systems

-Develops technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems

Desired Skills:

-Experience with using MySQL or another database software

-Experience/Knowledge on how to configure and use ACAS/NESSUS to perform

scanning

-Experience in answering Access Controls for the NIST 800-53 control list

This includes answering each control and its objectives in relation to the

vendor's system

-Experience and familiarity with the Navy accrediting authorities and what

they require

-Experience using coding repositories such as Mercurial/Git.

Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and five (5) years of full-time

professional experience working as a Computer Systems Analyst, Computer

Programmer, and/or Computer Scientist.

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
