Job Description:

Technical Writer – (Cyber) Stuttgart, Germany


Supports the Cyber Security team in gathering and consolidating and writing reports, plans and processes, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), System Security Plan’s (SSP), STIG and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).


  • Participate in the full life-cycle of the project.

  • Attend meetings such as those that determine software requirements, writing system requirement specifications, software specifications, end user documentation, and any other required documentation as part of the contract deliverable.

  • Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style. Participate in establishing style guidelines and standards for text and illustrations.

  • Contribute to development, writing, and reviewing of System Security Plans, SOPs and Standard Configuration Documents.

  • Manage, evaluate, and track Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAMs)

  • Organized checklists and timelines to meet requirements

  • Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing analyst, admins and engineers, referring to technical specifications, engineering plans, and configuration

Develop templates for cyber security environment writing, rewriting, and editing technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, service manuals, and policy/procedure to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of audience


  • BA or equivalent + 6 yrs related experience, or MA + 4 yrs related experience

  • Professional Level Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)

  • Excellent presentation and communication skill; strong attention to detail

  • Must have 11 years of relevant experience or a degree in order to pass TESA.

  • Secret Clearance required

  • Comp TIA Security+ required

  • CASP preferred


  • Must be willing to perform shift work

  • May be required to sign for equipment

  • Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance

  • Willingness to work flexible hours

  • Shift work may be required

  • On Call Status may be required
