Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide Tier 1 IT support for the Security Cooperation Office (SCO).

The term used by the SCO Commanders is On-site Technical Representative (OSTR). The successful candidate will monitor appropriate systems for any degradation, or outage and work to bring system back operational. At times, the candidate will work closely with the Systems Admin team at HQ USSOUTHCOM or partner with other OSTRs in Theater to help resolve an issue. They will report outages to the Theater Network Coordination Center to ensure proper reporting of system status to our Government Customer. From a user perspective, services and systems include all telephone/voice , video, collaboration systems, as well as, all key applications such as web portals, and web based or client -server based mission or administrative applications on SIPR or NIPR. From a hardware / software perspective , systems include application servers, network devices, and firewalls.Tier 1 IT support for the Security Cooperation Office (SCO). From a hardware / software perspective , systems include application servers, network devices, and firewalls.Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: Security + CE and Microsoft Windows 10

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS or equivalent + 2 yrs related experience, or MS + 0 yrs experience, Microsoft Server 2016 certification
