Our work depends on a SI&T Senior SID/CM Engineer joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC areas.

As a SI&T Senior SID/CM Engineer supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for project engineering, studies and plans to support installation and analysis of Aegis combat system equipment and systems into ships in a shipyard environment. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate with equipment vendors, subcontractors, Navy Participating Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs), Navy test labs, and shipbuilders to perform studies and analysis for ship integration and test, following existing shipbuilding and change processes

  • Ensures adherence with the Ship Change Control Level III and Level IV change processes

  • Assists with development of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) leveraging knowledge of C4I systems, relationship of shipboard to shore communications infrastructure, Topside configuration of antennas, weapons, and sensors as wells as shipboard equipment interfaces and physical integration characteristics

  • Coordinates with SPAWAR and NSWC laboratories regarding Combat Systems and C4I equipment testing

  • Review and comment on technical documentation associated with ACS elements on DDG-51, FFG-62, Aegis Ashore and other platforms or ships.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • A degree in Engineering or related discipline/experience is required.

  • A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.

  • Over Ten (10+) years of experience as an SID/CM for Naval or Combat Systems

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector

  • A demonstrated ability to work across the Navy/Marine Corps major stakeholder organizations and in particular an understanding of the relationships between NAVSEA, PEO IWS and the Fleet Commands is required to perform this role.

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $154,211. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
