Job Description

Provides first-line technical support to computer customers with questions regarding account administration, distribution of software and documentation, system and network status, and problem entry via problem tracking tool. Maintains and updates the tracking tool. Reports recurring problems to the management. Walks the user through a series of steps to determine the problem and classify the level, priority, and nature of the problem. If unable to diagnose or resolve the problem, escalates the issue to System Engineers or Application Developers from appropriate Engineering or Network Operations Center (NOC) / Security Operations Center (SOC) team.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides phone and in-person support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and applications.

  • Responsible for performing routine customer support and maintenance activities for equipment and systems products.

  • Opens, tracks, and closes trouble tickets; ensures problem ownership and promotes end- user satisfaction.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications

2-5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
